How should you use this medication?
Take this medicine by mouth. Swallow with a drink of water. Do not take with food. Take it 30 minutes before a meal. Follow the directions on the prescription label. If you take this medicine once a day, take it 30 minutes before breakfast. Take your doses at the same time each day. Do not take more often than directed.
Talk to your pediatrician regarding the use of this medicine in children. Special care may be needed.
Elderly patients over 65 years old may have a stronger reaction and need a smaller dose.

allergic reactions like skin rash, itching or hives, swelling of the face, lips, or tongue
breathing problems
dark urine
fever, chills, sore throat
signs and symptoms of low blood sugar such as feeling anxious, confusion, dizziness, increased hunger, unusually weak or tired, sweating, shakiness, cold, irritable, headache, blurred vision, fast heartbeat, loss of consciousness
unusual bleeding or bruising
yellowing of the eyes or skin
Side effects that usually do not require medical attention (report to your doctor or health care professional if they continue or are bothersome):
diarrhea
dizziness
headache
heartburn
nausea
stomach gas
